A New Improved Skin Care Treatment — Renova

December 31, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Skin is an essential part of the body. It covers our organs to protect them from harm, reflects our personality, and makes us feel self-confident. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and keeping healthy skin is not always easy.

If we get the right amount of physical exercise and good nutrition we are rewarded with healthy glowing skin. Over time however, we begin to lose that youthful glow, lines and wrinkles begin to form, and the skin loses its resilience.

The Federal Drug Administration has approved a new skin care product for restoring the smoothness of your skin. Renova, containing retinoic acid, is used to correct sun damage, smooth out lines and wrinkles, and remove the signs of aging. Renova is also being used to treat severe acne problems. It can be bought without a prescription on the Internet. This product is voted one of the top ten wrinkle removers and users report great results from using cream with Renova. I found many places on the Internet where I could order this remarkable new product. Most creams come with a money-back guarantee if you don’t see results.

To use Renova you should first wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Use a soft, gentle towel and keep it dry for 15 minutes. Renova can then be applied to your face but avoid applying cream around your mouth, eyes, or nose. It is recommended that you use Renova every night making it a part of your nighttime skin care routine.

If you have allergies or any other skin problem, the makers of the product recommend you consult your doctor before using the product. Use it only as directed, once a day in the evening. Overdosing will not give you faster results but could increase the risk of side effects. If you are planning on waxing your upper lip you should not use Renova on the area you are planning to wax. Pregnant women and women who are breast-feeding should not use Renova without talking to their doctor first. This revolutionary new skin care development will make your skin more sensitive to the sun so you should avoid exposure to the sun’s rays.

There are some side effects you may experience while using the Renova cream which usually go away once your skin grows accustomed to the cream. These side effects include burning, itching, and redness, and some swelling. Other side effects reported include stinging and peeling, or dryness and scaling of the skin. If the side effects continue after a reasonable skin adjustment time, you should consult your doctor.

Renova makers claim you will see results from using this new product in a short amount of time. It is important to use it regularly and in the proper dose. If you happen to forget a dose, don’t try to make it up, just continue with the next one. This product should be kept out of the reach of all children and out of direct sunlight. Store it in a cool place but not where the product could freeze.

Menopause Symptoms

December 31, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

The symptoms that menopausal women report vary widely. All women experience irregular or shorter periods during the year or so before their periods stop altogether. The majority of women going through menopause also experience hot flashes. These typically begin with a feeling of mild to intense warmth in the upper part of the body, spreading to the face. Hot flashes may last for several minutes, and be accompanied by sweating and blushing. Their severity varies from mild to causing extreme discomfort. In some women, hot flashes may occur while asleep, causing them to wake up, resulting in insomnia or sleeplessness. Headaches and a racing heartbeat may also be experienced during menopause, sometimes coinciding with hot flashes and adding to overall discomfort.

Women going through menopause may experience a number of emotional symptoms. These include irritability, depression, anxiety, fatigue, lowered motivation and tension. While these emotional symptoms are a normal part of menopause, they may also be found in a variety of other conditions. It is best to consult a doctor if emotions are getting in the way of normal daily activities.

Many women have joint and muscle aches during menopause. Some of these women may be developing osteoporosis, a condition in which bones become weak. Hormonal changes during menopause, and a lack of sufficient physical activity, aggravate the development of osteoporosis. A doctor should properly evaluate any joint or muscle pain.

A distressing symptom some women experience during menopause is some loss of bladder control. Decreased estrogen levels cause this; estrogen helps keep the pelvic muscles that control the bladder strong.

Women going through menopause typically experience reduced sex drive. Some of this is attributable to vaginal dryness that develops during menopausal hormonal changes. Insomnia, depression, anxiety and other symptoms experienced during menopause may also contribute to decreased libido.

Menopausal women suffer a range of symptoms in varying severity: loss of periods, hot flashes, emotional disturbance, joint and muscle aches, bladder weakness and loss of libido. Fortunately, much is known about their origins, and there are many treatments available to improve them.

Why Diet Foods Are A Joke

December 31, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Let me tell you something REALLY funny…

Really, though, this is a real knee-slapper…

It’s about that person who goes out to eat and orders a:

- big, juicy cheeseburger
- french fries
- a side order of mozzarella sticks
- with a nice piece of cheesecake for dessert

All washed down with their favorite Hollywood diet drink.

Wait a minute….

I’m not done laughing.

Hold on.

Just a little longer.

Ok, ok, I’m fine now.

I will never understand why people think or feel that ordering a diet drink with their massive amount of fatty, unhealthy food will get them anywhere.

The sad thing is, is that they are REALLY convincing themselves that they are doing something good for their body, so they will inevitably do it over and over and over again.

You’re not one of those people, are you?

Good, I didn’t think so.

Just in case you are and you’re not telling me (shame on you, lol)…let’s work on fixing this problem immediately.

Unfortunately, this is what the multi, multi, multi-million dollar business of “diet foods” is doing to you.

They are tricking you into thinking that you are doing something “healthy” for yourself……

When in reality you are doing nothing, or even worse, you are making yourself infinitely unhealthier.

Onward.

I can literally go on and on and on about this seemingly forever, but let me give you a quick example.

Let’s say you like a certain carbonated beverage.

Ok, so you decide to buy the “diet” version of this beverage.

Maybe because it has 1 calorie.

Or maybe because it has artificial sweeteners instead of sugar (hint hint: it still isn’t good for you).

Whatever.

The point is that, “diet” or not, this beverage has many, many ingredients that you need to stay far away from.

Because if you can look me in the eye and tell me that aspartame (the key ingredient in diet drinks instead of sugar), is going to help you get lean……………

Then I have some oceanfront property in Arkansas that I’d love to sell you.

And it’s on sale this week……..just for you.

And whether you believe all of the medical studies about aspartame (and its buddies) or not…….I can guarantee you one thing…

It sure as heck will never help you lose weight or get in shape.
But it very well give you a false sense of security into drinking all of these diet drinks day in, day out, month in, month out, year in, year out….

You get the point.

And when somebody comes along and definitively proves that aspartame is horrifically bad for you……….

Uhhh-Oh.

Somebody’s in trouble.

And it ain’t me.

But hey, you’re a smart person….you would never drink those carbonated drinks anyway.

Right?

Right?

Good, I didn’t think so.

But, just in case, you know of a “friend” who practices this unhealthy behavior…just tell them I said that downing these so-called “diet” drinks will lead them to everywhere except where they want to be in life.

More specifically, to their local doctors, specialists, and hospitals.

You can also give them this special tip…….

If they are so hard up for some extra sugar in their life,

Just make themselves a cup of green tea, and add a spoonful or two of sugar in it.

Hands down, this beats any diet drink recipe 10 times out of 10.

How many more health tips do I have up my sleeve?
I’m going to say thousands to be on the safe side, but I bet you I have more inside of me.

To find out what I have to offer, visit www.fitnesswithchris.com and enjoy the fruits of my hard work for you.

And that is no joke.

I’ll talk to you soon.

5 Common Acne Myths Revealed

December 31, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

As medical knowledge of acne improves, many of the long-standing myths are being proven wrong. Many of them continue to persist, however. The following are ten of the most common myths, as well as the facts about them.

1 – Acne Is A Result of Poor Hygiene

This myth probably started because of the possible skin infections that can accompany acne. The fact is that hygiene is not the reason for acne outbreaks. Acne is caused by a mixture of sebum and dead cells, which occurs beneath the skin’s surface where it can’t be simply cleaned by washing.

2 – Acne Is Caused By Certain Types of Food

It has long been thought that eating chocolate and other sugary foods will result in acne. There is no evidence for this however – studies have not been able to show any particular relationship between acne and eating these foods. The same is true of other foods commonly associated with acne such as potato chips and french fries.

3 – Acne Must Be Left To Run Its Course

There are a number of effective treatments available to reduce or eliminate acne. Anyone suffering from it should consult with their doctor or a dermatologist to find out how best to deal with it.

4 – Acne Only Affects Teenagers

While it’s true that many teenagers are affected by acne, it is by no means limited to them. For most people, acne clears up by the early twenties, but some people experience their first outbreak in their thirties or forties.

5 – Sunlight Is Good For Acne

Exposure to sunlight can have a short-term effect on acne by drying out excess oils in the skin, but it is not a long-term solution. The skin quickly adjusts to the sun exposure and any positive effects will not last for long. Plus, exposure to the sun can have other negative effects, such as an increased risk of skin cancer, so it is not worth the risk in the long run.

Be a Better Lover: Master Slow Sex

December 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Have you ever tried to have really slow sex with your woman? I promise; it will drive her crazy. If you want your woman to give you a lot of sex, there’s only one way: Satisfy Her! If you make her tingle with desire and anticipation, she’ll come back for more.

One of the tricks is to go slow. And I mean really slow. Pausing so you won’t come before her does not count. You must take your time.

Explore her body slowly with touch, kisses, breathing, sniffing, licking… you know. Do your thing. Only slow. Avoid the spots that turn her on. Go near, then go away. Move in and pull back while you take your time. She has a great body and a lot of nice places to hang out. Like her neck. Even her armpit can be nice. Or her heels.

Sense her. Taste her. Inhale her. Try to find hot spots you didn’t know about. When you hit a spot that makes her breath heavier, hang around there for a while, then go away. Find another spot and come back later. The more erogenous spots you can stimulate, the higher her sexual arousal will get.

She may yell at you. Even get irritated. You’ve got her juices going and she wants satisfaction. NOW!

Don’t give in. Let her show you what she wants you to do and give it to her. Still slowly. Then go away. Do something else to her and come back. Keep building her arousal.

I promise. If you’ve never done this before, she will finally have an orgasm like you’ve never seen. She might even cry. If so, take good care of her. Hold her. Kiss her and promise her that next time will be even better.

The Many Uses and Benefits of Aromatherapy

December 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

If you always wondered what aromatherapy means, all you need to do is look at the name again. It is the treatment of the body and the mind by the use of scents and essential oils derived from plants. And to be specific these plants are known as being aromatic, hence the first part of the name. The second part is self explanatory.

Aromatherapy is very effective in making you feel good mentally and physically by the way it affects your senses. What you see, touch, and feel affects you in your daily life either in a positive, negative or even a neutral way. Aromatherapy slots in as a positive influence as it treats your mind and body through your sense of smell restoring and promoting balance when you need it most. Your sense of feeling is the other part of the senses influenced by aromatherapy as essential oils are also absorbed through your skin during massage or while bathing in water containing essential oils.

So, for example, if you feel stressed, plants like lavender will help you to relax. If you breath the lavender scent it will sooth you. So will the oils when absorbed through the skin either through massage or when you have a bath. If you feel low in energy essences like mint will give you that extra stimulus to make you spring back into action. Again these oils can be breathed in, used during massage or while bathing. They act as stimuli on the brain provoking a reaction in your chemical make up through your sense of smell and through the skin.

Aromatherapy has become the alternative medicine of choice for the busy society we live in. It is a beneficial because the oils and scents are pure and natural. It is an alternative that has been around too long for it to have any kind of side effect that the general population would find harmful. But of course you cannot legislate for substances you might be allergic to even ones that are considered benign.

And it is not only a kind of alternative medicine but is also used quite widely as an alternative for cosmetics and it is a very good replacement because the essences of aromatic plants are completely natural and as discussed not harmful to most people. In fact the benefits of aromatherapy covers not only us humans but animals as well. Essential oils such as niaouli, eucalyptus and tea tree are being credited by dog owners as being effective in combating the common colds of our best friend.

In conclusion aromatherapy has been shown to be a very effective replacement for treatments of the body and mind. It has been practiced from ancient times to cure various ailments and is still to this day very popular to treat these same ailments as well as curing newer ailments of our times like stress and anxiety. It is also widely used as natural beauty treatment alternative. Even cats and dogs like the effects of aromatherapy so it is sure to be here to stay and perhaps you will find it to have even more beneficial uses in the future.

Asthma affects over 18 million people every year. Of the millions affected, nearly 55% of those asthma suffers experience problems due to an allergic asthma attack. People who are educated as to the cause of their allergic asthma can gain better control over their lives. This article will discuss some of the common triggers for allergic asthma and how to avoid them.

What Is Allergic Asthma?

For those who do not have allergic asthma, an asthma attack can be set off by strenuous exercise, stress, worry and many other triggers. However, allergic asthma is inevitably triggered by coming in touch with allergens that set-off your asthma. This is important information to note, because the better educated you are on what causes allergic asthma the better your chances of preventing future instances.

What to Avoid

You should stay away from any area that is damp. Basements tend to be a common place for molds and other bacteria to grow and cause allergic asthma. Animals, such as dogs and cats are also a leading culprit to people suffering from allergic asthma. If you have a problem with mice in your home this could also be causing you trouble.

Pollen can cause real problems at certain times of the year. If you notice an increase in your allergic asthma symptoms at certain times of the year, especially during the spring and summer times, this may be the reason. You may want to speak with your doctor about proven treatments for your allergic asthma. There are many good medications for these types of allergic asthma attacks. With extreme situations, your doctor may suggest a treatment such as immunotherapy.

Take Control

Allergic asthma can be very intimidating, but with proper care and avoiding known causes you can regain control of your life. Take the time to study the many symptoms, causes, and effects of allergic asthma. The more you know about allergic asthma the further ahead of the battle you will be.

The Reality of Cat Health Insurance

December 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Health Care Bill Articles

Currently valued at $88 million and chalking up growth of at least 45% annually, the pet health insurance market clearly is a diamond in the rough; there are more than 136 million dogs and cats in this country-but less than 1% of them have insurance (versus 14% of dogs and 5% of cats in the U.K.). As Americans discover more about the true nature of cat health insurance and how it can save them time, stress and money, that 1% will grow exponentially. Even now, large employers are beginning to add pet health insurance options on their employee health packages. Cat Health Insurance is a real solution and is here to stay.

Take for example, if your kid were to break his leg and require emergency hospitalization. Your costs would look something like this:

Emergency room care $3,500.00

X-ray bill $ 500.00

X-ray technician diagnosis $ 950.00

Doctor’s bill $1500.00

Bill for your room in ER $7500.00

Total $13,950.00

Now that’s an intimidating number!

BUT! Thank God, you have insurance coverage, so really your co-pay bill will be about $250. BIG DIFFERENCE!

This very simplistic example can happen, and does happen every single day for cat owners across the United States. The extremely unfortunate truth that you would not like to admit even to yourself is, at that price without insurance to help, would you not consider having to put your cat down rather than suffer through paying such an outrageous vet bill? Tragically, many cat owners do just that. The sense of loss, guilt, helplessness and sadness in that kind of decision is unbearable.

That is why we want you to “go on offense” and take control of your cat’s health. It is that kind of decision that we see as “your opponent.” Stop and think about what you would do if you were faced with that situation. And now decide what you want to do today about preventing it from ever happening.

Here is a more comprehensive breakdown of what can be covered for cats:

CATS

Covered:

Leukemia

Ear infections

Is Coconut Oil For Weight Loss Effective?

December 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Yes, research proves that there is a strong connection between coconut oil and weight loss. But before we discuss coconut oil more, let’s talk about “good fats” vs. “bad fats”.

Good Fats vs. Bad Fats

You’ve probably heard of “trans fats” and “hydrogenated fats”. This isn’t just media hype: these are REALLY bad fats. They contribute to a whole host of diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Trans-fats are formed when vegetable oils are “hydrogenated”, which means that the oil was chemically altered so that it is more stable at room temperature. Read labels, and you’ll see that these types of fats appear in many products.

The second category of bad fats include vegetable oils such as canola, corn, and safflower. The reason they are “bad” is because they are high in Omega 6 fatty acids, which are ok in moderation, but when consumed in excess (which most of America does), it throws off the all-important balance between Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Most people in the U.S. consume WAY too many of the Omega-6 fatty acids. Look at the ingredients list in all the packaged products, and you’ll see them filled with vegetable oils.

GOOD fats are those with Omega-3 fatty acids (from whole flax seeds, walnuts, and fish oils), monounsaturated fats (from olive and macadamia nut oils), and medium chain triglycerides/MCTs (from coconut oil). These oils are all proven to help you lose weight.

So you want to increase your intake of oils with Omega-3 fatty acids and decrease your intake of Omega-6 fatty acids. There are a few vegetable oils that have low levels of Omega 6 fatty acids, and those include extra virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, and macadamia nut oil.

Let’s get back to our discussion of coconut oil for weight loss…

Extra virgin coconut oil

Be sure you are buying a certain type of coconut oil: extra virgin coconut oil. Look for a brand that says it uses no chemical or heat to extract the oil.

Although coconut oil is a saturated fat, it contains medium chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are known to increase metabolism and promote weight loss. You can take up to 3-4 tablespoons a day. Any fat makes you feel more satisfied, and promotes weight loss through satiety.

Coconut oil has a high smoke point, so it is safe for sauteing and frying. Use it in place of butter and other vegetable oils. It can also be used in baking recipes as a replacement for butter. It has even more saturated fats than butter, though, so that can change some recipes.

Summary

Coconut oil is a great help for weight loss, and is a very healthy oil to cook with. It’s vital to eat oils that promote health, rather than harm it. With that in mind, I want you to go through your kitchen and throw out all of the following oils, and any product with these oils in the ingredients list:

o margarine

o Crisco

o canola oil

o corn oil

o anything with the word “hydrogenated” (even “partially hydrogenated”)

You may end up tossing a lot of things in your kitchen, but don’t fret. Your health (and weight) will improve! It’s just not worth the bad health effects for anyone in your house to eat these dangerous fats.

Lose Weight Quickly

December 29, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Many of us need to lose weight but do not know how to get started. The thought of putting limitations on the food we eat can be disheartening. However, keeping our bodies at a healthy weight by following a healthy diet and lifestyle is our best defense against many diseases and conditions.

Losing weight can be overwhelming if you are not sure how to get started. If you are hesitant or apprehensive about beginning a diet, there ARE healthy and effective ways to get a quick jump-start on losing weight. Using the tips below will help you get started:

*ELIMINATE ALL SUGAR AND STARCH from your diet. This will probably be a huge adjustment for you to make. However, remember that any sugar the body does not use will get stored as fat.

Since the body always uses the most readily available source of energy first, which is sugar and starch, eliminating them from your diet forces your body to burn fat instead.

*DRINK WATER, lots of water. Try to drink 8-10 glasses of water every day, preferably spread out evenly throughout the day. Water forces your body to run more efficiently, flushes harmful toxins out of your body, speeds up your metabolism, and makes it easier to lose weight and burn fat.

*EAT BREAKFAST. Eating a healthy, protein-packed breakfast (This does NOT include donuts!) revs up your metabolism and gives your body the energy it needs to get through the morning.

*EAT SMALL MEALS EVERY 3-4 HOURS. Eating regularly throughout the day will keep your metabolism revved up and burning fat. It also prevents you from feeling hungry or deprived. Make sure you include protein in every meal.

*NEVER EAT BETWEEN MEALS, especially after 6:00 pm. If you absolutely must eat something, nibble on a piece of raw fruit, a low-fat yogurt, or a couple of raw vegetables.

*FIND A HOBBY. Take up a new hobby or activity that will keep your mind and/or body busy, preventing you from thinking about food all of the time. Read, take a long, leisurely walk, knit or crochet, paint, play outside with your kids. Use your imagination!

*EXERCISE EVERY DAY for at least 20 minutes. Aerobic exercises have the greatest fat-burning potential. The best examples are walking (the easiest), swimming, bicycling, skating, and jogging. If you diet without participating in any exercise, your weight loss will be much slower.

The reason that exercise is so important for you is because your metabolism may be slower than it used to be. The most effective and easiest way to overcome a sluggish metabolism is to increase the daily activity level of your body.

Once you lose some weight, you will become more motivated to continue your efforts in meeting your goal. However, your biggest challenge will be keeping it off and not reverting to previous eating habits. To be successful at losing weight and maintaining it, you must make changes to your lifestyle and be diligent at watching your eating and exercise habits.
