Preksha Meditation
Posture:
You may select a posture of meditation in which you can sit comfortably and steadily for a long period. The posture of meditation may be ‘full lotus-posture,’ ‘half lotus-posture,’ ’simple cross-legged posture, or ‘diamond-posture’ (Vajrasan).
Mudras : Position of the Hands
There are two alternatives: one position is called Jnana Mudra. Keep your right hand on the right knee and left hand on the left knee, keeping the palms turned up. Let the tip of the index finger touch the tip of the thumb with a slight pressure between them. Keep the other fingers straight.
The alternative position is called Brahma Mudra. Keep both the hands on your lap one above the other by keeping the palms upturned. Let the left palm remain under the right one.
Keep your eyes softly closed.
Recitation of Arham:
Start the meditation session with the repeated recitation of the mantra Arham.
Exhale fully, then inhale completely. By slow exhalation begin the intonation of the mantra. Concentrating your mind on the navel, produce the sound “A” for about two seconds. While concentrating your mind on the Centre of Bliss situated near the heart, produce the sound “Rha” for about four seconds. And lastly taking your mind upward from throat to the Centre of Knowledge situated at the top of the head, produce the sound “mmm” for about six seconds. Inhale deeply again and repeat the same exercise nine times.
Visualize that the sound waves are criss-crossing and weaving an oval-shaped web of armor all around you, protecting yourself from the evil effects of the external vibrations.
Recitation of the Mahaprana Dhvani:
Alternatively start meditation with the repeated recitation of the Mahaprana Dhvani. Exhale fully, then inhale deeply as long as you can. By slow exhalation, produce the sound “mmm” through the nostrils like buzzing of a bee, while concentrating your mind on the Centre of Knowledge situated on the top of the head and keeping the mouth closed. Inhale deeply again and repeat the same exercise nine times.
The Aphorism of the Aim:
“Sampikkhae Appagamappaenam”
Perceive and realize the deepest and highest levels of your consciousness by your conscious mind. See yourself through yourself. For perception and realization of the self, practice preksha meditation.
Resolve for Meditation:
“I am practicing preksha meditation for the purification of my mind (psyche)”. (Repeat three times)

Kick Back And Relax For Weight Loss
A couple of ground rules first. When I say to kick back and relax for weight loss, I don’t mean to imply that there is no effort involved in losing weight. The old truths still remain. If you eat more calories than you use, you gain weight. If you use more calories than you take in, you lose weight. A combination of exercise and sensible nutrition are the key. Nuff said!
However, trying too hard to lose weight can actually sabotage your weight loss efforts while possibly creating an unhealthy situation for you.
First of all some simple facts. If you cut your food intake too drastically or limit your food choices, in addition to potentially depriving yourself of essential nutrients, you may actually alter your metabolism so that your body learns to survive on fewer calories. Not only does this mean that strict dieting may result in only small losses, but, as so often happens, when you finally fall off the diet wagon your body will continue to use fewer calories for its daily functions and activities and store even more fat than before. This is why yo-yo dieters tend to gain weight over time.
Seriously restricting your food intake may also deprive you of energy. This can result in lowered ability and willingness to actually perform the very activities that can help burn calories. An extreme decrease in nutrients coupled with related psychological effects may also produce a mental unwillingness to keep going with the program. Since, at least it seems to me, one of the reasons for weight loss is to be happy, healthy, and enjoy life more, creating this sort of situation seems like a lose-lose proposition.
From the physical standpoint, trying too hard in terms of difficulty or amount of exercise may result in actual physical injury. At the very least, someone trying to do more than they are actually capable of may reach a point where their body and mind team up to demand that they “knock it off”.
Now, let’s talk about stress and weight loss.
If you are trying too hard, whether physically or mentally, you are stressed. In fact, as soon as you decide to “go on a diet” or “start trying to lose weight”, you are under stress. Ever hear of “stress eating”? Well, it’s real. There are psychological and physiological reasons why, but the bottom line is that when under stress, many of us are tempted to eat more. Chemicals in our bloodstream, such as cortisol, not only cause us to want more food, but even act as a drug, which they are, producing nearly irresistible cravings in some people.
So here’s what you do.
Start your exercise program off at an easy pace. Slowly increase the difficulty or time. There’s no hurry. The key to good weight loss results with exercise is to keep at it for weeks, months, and even years. In fact, if you’re on the right track, you are creating a lifetime habit.
Make your nutritional choices wisely. There is no law anywhere that says a piece of pie or bowl of ice cream will send you back into the gutter. In fact, there is no reason why such treats cannot be an occasional reward for good behavior. The occasional nutritional indiscretion will not offset a daily lifestyle of exercise and good nutritional choices.
Try to relax. Try meditation, yoga, long walks, prayer, good conversations with friends…whatever works for you. Get a good night’s sleep, because being short on sleep can actually trigger cortisol production. Yes, this is a bad thing. A good night’s sleep can help your weight loss program immensely.
Last, but definitely not least, recognize that you are only human and will err no matter how hard you try. You would tell your best friend to forget about it and just get back on track if she admitted to pigging out on a quart of Rocky Road. Be your own best friend and learn to forgive yourself.

Nobody’s Fault – Kids and Anorexia
Almost always, no one specific person is to blame when a child suffers anorexia, and neither are the parents as a couple or as a team. Parenting often has nothing to do with it. The implication that up-bringing is most often the cause of (or that at least it acts as a catalyst for) anorexia in kids has been the cause of additional suffering for parents with anorexic children for years. However, they suffer unduly. The reality is that (in most cases) this is an incredibly unfortunate misunderstanding. The most predominant component of the development of anorexia in families (and especially in children) is genetic. This article will provide some examples of different cases throughout the past several years that resulted from this type of genetic disposition and the battle against the severe condition we call anorexia.
Now, it is true that loss of appetite is symptomatic of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and other conditions. Loss of appetite, nonetheless, can present with no outside cause, but from an underlying genetic pre-existing condition. If there is a history of anorexia in your family, you will not absolutely, without a doubt, develop anorexia as well. The most horrible part for parents with anorexic children was the combination of guilt, as well as watching their child suffer. Now at least the parents can rest easy that the guilt is not theirs, that anorexia is not the result of bad parenting and making the wrong choices. There is no single definitive cause for anorexia, one can only evaluate and speculate. Nonetheless, it is not that much easier to suffer through the experience. After all, the child is still battling anorexia, and the stakes are high.
When a child becomes ill it is horrid enough, you can be sure (if you have never had the experience) that the parent’s worst nightmare would be to go through it all over again. A child with a life-threatening illness is one of the most devastating things to witness, especially a son or daughter. So when the parents of a girl named Erin from Maryland experienced her battle with anorexia they were desperately saddened by the surprise – she had just become healthy again. They discovered that after almost miraculously surviving leukemia at the age of 10, had to be re-admitted to the hospital for anorexia. The girl told her mother that she was hearing voices (clearly a neurological problem) that she heard angry voices. These voices warned her not to eat anything.
Nonetheless, this is an example with a happy ending. Her success did not end with the fight she won over the life-threatening leukemia she suffered early in her life. The latest medical notes on this girl indicate that she has successfully adjusted her eating habits and is maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. It is possible that she is under psychological treatment, and taking medications as well to help her overcome her neurological symptoms. But it is not indicated that she had to undergo any kind of surgery, her disease is controlled by taking action to combat and overcome her condition. One might say the little girl won the lottery twice. However, (in accordance with a plethora of medical studies) I believe that her strength of character and her will to live played important roles in her return to health. These are two of the variables undeniably essential to an anorexic’s successful recovery.
Many high school girls essentially believe in the expression that “there is no such thing as being too rich or too thin.” Therefore, unaware of the significant dangers, they will destroy their bodies and even their brains, perhaps permanently, in order to loose weight. However, people with anorexia nervosa are virtually always convinced that they are too fat or (for whatever reason) can not eat. Even when the goal is to improve his or her appearance, a high school student who does not eat will look gaunt, ill, skeletal, and they will be loosing their cognitive function.
This means that in addition to all of the changes a teenager’s body (or for that matter, a child’s body goes through as it grows, they will suffer the effects of their body responding to malnutrition. This can get in the way of proper function, or, normal growth and (much of the time) will have devastating effects. In junior high and high school aged students, this also makes anorexia nervosa very difficult to identify. Most parents will deny their children’s troubles until the very last minute. This is not due to negligence, but to the biological intuition to believe (or, rather, to convince yourself) that your child (and / or children) are ok.
Most parents with anorexic teens just see the trauma of adolescence, the bad experience virtually everyone has to go through in life – they can’t imagine that the problem is deeper than that. This is because, as any parent would, they desperately do not want their child to be suffering more than that. Sometimes, the realization that the problem is there is quite a rude, and often quite a late, awakening to a reality they, nor their child are prepared to face.
The fact of the matter is that denial is an automatic human response to potentially dangerous circumstances, especially life-threatening and definitively terminal illnesses. If someone is afraid of a serious problem, they can be equally afraid to confirm it. But anyone with this illness, or who recognizes this illness in someone else, should know that the longer you deny that you have anorexia – the more harmful it will be. The longer you suffer from this illness the more it destroys your ability to grow, develop, or function without the proper nourishment your body requires.
There are ways to prevent your self from responding to biological impulses of an underlying condition, whether in your family or in your past, but not every story has a happy ending. There are many examples of dangerous and unpreventable cases, especially when the condition increases rapidly and the individual can not compromise or adjust to eating right. This is the most important part of this article: anorexia is not just a popular Hollywood fad that happens to be dangerous. People MUST realize this truth.
I want to brace you for the story of a ten year old girl named Katherine, who died quickly as a result of this disease. Katherine had always been a slender girl. Therefore, it was quite noticeable when she began to decline. Her mother thought, initially, that she was probably just fighting a virus or cold. But it was soon as obvious as it could possibly be – she became skeletal in appearance, her eyes looked hollow because the bones in her face were so apparent. She now had virtually 0% body fat. Her parents were terrified, they tried everything to get their daughter to eat when her weight slipped from 48 lbs to 45 lbs . . . a serious difference considering her weight. Little Katherine continued to decline and put her self on an extreme starvation diet.
There are a multitude of experts to consult and things to try which can potentially bring a child out of this dangerous illness and teach them to eat properly and avoid impulses to starve him or her self. Katherine’s parents exhausted every possibility. The diet was brutal for her frail body, already tortured by this illness. There was no guidance counselor, psychologist, private therapist, pediatrician, eating program, or meal program could convince her to eat. Even bribery was pushed on her. No promise would get her to change her mind. In all likelihood, the poor girl was probably irreversibly mentally impaired. Katherine’s young brain just would not hear any of the voices trying to tell her how wrong what it was to starve herself. Yet Katherine heard nothing but the impulses that told her (for whatever reason) that she should not, could not, would not ignore. They likely manifested themselves in real voices, audible only to this ten year old girl, which could not be quieted. Hearing voices is a common symptom of psychosis related to lack of certain nutrients. Katherine was depriving herself of all nutrients as her body struggled to grow like a normal ten year old and her immune defenses were weak. She simply shut down when mealtimes came or anyone tried to get her to eat. She became so weak that she could barely move. She was rushed to the emergency room and admitted to the hospital, but once she was released she deprived herself of food in exactly the same manner as she had done before. There was still nothing her parents could do.
There are expensive and extremely intense programs for girls such as Katherine in order to save their lives. Constant clinical treatment is required. Unfortunately, there are extremely limited numbers of residential facilities for treating such conditions across the country and around the world. Anorexia is a horror. Many, many children like Katherine pass away while those who care for them stand around their little death beds: desperate and helpless. ‘I never realized someone could get anorexia so young’ many parents have said – traumatized, believing that they should have noticed sooner or put an end to it. In reality, parents often do not have the ability to stop the suffering of an anorexic child – the disease is too powerful.
However, some child anorexics are luckier. These are children whose families have been able to afford and send away their children to the kinds of facilities mentioned. Nonetheless, because of the lack of numbers of these programs there are waiting lists that can be deadly – even for people who can afford treatment for their children. There are many families who have suffered the death of a child by anorexia whose lives may not have been so traumatically changed if they had only had better medical insurance at the time.
Anorexia comes from a Greek word, essentially meaning “the loss of appetite” but it is a virtually always mental condition, convincing the sufferer that eating is wrong, or rationalizes, for example: five bites of cereal the equivalent of an entire meal. The lack of nutrition in children is even more dangerous than when adults develop anorexia and starve themselves. But obviously, there is no good time to develop anorexia nervosa. This condition is now more and more commonly seen in children, who are definitely worse off than adult sufferers and who are as young as eight or nine years old. This is a frightening and often progressive psychological condition that takes a lot of effort to control and is (unfortunately) sometimes impossible to pull a child away from. The power of the mind can be a dangerous enemy.

Are Your Body Care Products Killing Your Skin?
Every day, millions of people are using products on their bodies. Products to cleanse, products to moisturize, and products to make the body smell good are being used more today than any other time in history.
Both men and women have a constant barrage of marketing aimed at them concerning products to use on their bodies. Within the last decade, mens body care products have become the norm, rather than the exception.
Today, at least with younger men, you will be hard pressed to find someone who is not using some type of product designed especially for use on mens bodies. These products are well known for their masculine fragrance.
So, what do you know about these products? Products for both men and women have their biggest selling point through fragrance. How many times have you been in to purchase shampoo and found yourself (or seen another customer) opening lids and smelling the product?
Of course, the scent has absolutely nothing to do with how well the product actually cleanses the hair. The scent is a major marketing ploy; one that works very well. That scent is artificial and if you begin asking people around you, you will find that many of them are allergic to these artificial fragrances. Sometimes, they cannot even be around someone who has fragrance like these on their body.
One of the things that you need to be able to do is read your labels. This is not to imply that you do not know how to read; you need to be able to understand how the ingredient labeling process is done and what the ingredients mean to you.
Ingredients are listed in the order of volume used in the formula for the product. This means that the first ingredient is the biggest amount of the product. In many products, you will find that this first ingredient is water; if you read your shampoo label and see that water is first, you know that the shampoo is more water than anything else. This process of listing ingredients is common to all of your body care products.
Aside from understanding how the listing works in reference to the amount of each ingredient, you should know about certain ingredients. Remember that not all ingredients are actually good for your skin, even though the product has been marketed for use on the skin. Your body will appreciate you for paying more attention to what your purchase for your body care products.
If possible, you should buy certified organic products. These products do not carry hidden dangers from man made chemicals. If it is not possible for you, you will want to take care to buy body care products that are free of certain ingredients. These ingredients include:
Mineral Oil: this ingredient actually catches environmental debris and mixes with it, clogging pores and causing blackheads, whiteheads, and irritation. Because of the trapping tendency of mineral oil, toxins are attached to your skin which can result in faster signs of aging.
Wax: this substance should be used sparingly. It is almost impossible to avoid using a total skin care system that is completely wax free, but you should know that wax can clog pores. As with mineral oil, this clogging results in blackheads and whiteheads. Unlike mineral oil, wax does not tend to attract environmental debris and trap it in pores. Wax is often found in body care products that are creamy.
Lanolin: the biggest problem with lanolin is that it can be an allergen. If you are experiencing irritated skin, this may be the reason.
Acetone: this toxic substance strips the skin of essential natural oils. Wrinkles result faster through this excessive dryness.
Alcohol: this may be listed as ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, or SD alcohol 40. Like acetone, alcohol strips the skin of its essential natural oils. Again, the excessive dryness causes wrinkles to appear earlier than they would otherwise.
Artificial coloring: often, the base use to create artificial colorants is actually toxic.
Petrolatum or other derivatives of petroleum: your skin is not able to absorb these ingredients, and they act as attractants to environmental debris. Blackheads, irritation and white heads frequently occur with regular use of these products.
Keeping a careful eye on labels will help you avoid many of the skin irritations that are quite common today. You will also prevent premature aging because you are not using ingredients that accelerate your skins genetically planned aging process by trapping toxins on your skin and in your pores or by over drying your skin.

17 Top Tips for Great Holiday Hair
When you are away from home in a different climate your hair will be subjected to weather it is not used to.
Your hair needs to be protected in the same way that you do with your skin. UV rays are very harmful to your hair affecting the pigment, strength, shine and vitality.
For your skin you take with you cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen and after-sun lotions so for your hair take shampoo, conditioner, hair sunscreen and styling products.
Cold Climate
1. Cold temperatures weaken your hair and susceptible to damage. Flyaway hair tends to be subject to static. Hair should be well conditioned and protected by wearing a hat.
2. If you have frizzy hair use a leave-in conditioner and take a deep moisturizing mask with you on holiday. All hair types will benefit from using a heat protection spray and serum to keep the elements out and keep the moisture in.
Humid climate
3. Hair expands just like it does when it is wet in a humid climate. This will make your hair fluffy or if it is curly, frizzy.
4. For all hair types, a pre-holiday deep conditioning treatment is a must to nourish the hair and seal the cuticles, as you want to prevent excess moisture from entering the hair shaft.
5. If you have fine hair use a light leave-in conditioner from mid-way down the hair to the ends and use a serum to seal the ends after blow-drying, being careful not to overdo the serum on fine hair.
6. If you have curly and/or frizzy hair then you need to seal the cuticle (the outside of your hair) to minimize the additional frizziness that results in humid weather.
7. Use a leave-in conditioner very morning. Use an anti-frizz serum to coat and seal the cuticle.
Hot and dry climate
8. The sun strips the hair of its natural oils and dry heat increases this effect. UV rays attack your hair and the resulting free radicals damage the hair. The weakened cuticle causes the hair to become dehydrated, allows the bleaching and fading of the color pigment as well as split ends.
9. To protect your hair 100% from sun damage wear a hat!
10. Deep conditioning your hair before your holiday is essential.
11. If you have fine hair use a wash your hair with a gentle shampoo and use a light leave-in conditioner with UV protection. Use a sun-protection spray containing a UV filter to screen your hair from the effects of the sun and seawater and re-apply after going in the sea.
12. If you have curly hair use a moisturizing shampoo and a leave-in conditioner to minimize dryness. Apply a nourishing hair mask whilst you are away to deep condition your hair. Use a sun-protection spray containing a UV filter to screen your hair from the effects of the sun and seawater and re-apply after going in the sea.
13. If you have frizzy hair use a sun-protection spray containing a UV filter to screen your hair from the effects of the sun and seawater and re-apply after going in the sea.Use a rich leave-in conditioner with UV protection each morning and apply a hair mask every other day during the holiday.
14. When you have been swimming in the sea always wash the salt out afterwards.
15. Chlorine from the swimming pool is extremely damaging when combined with the effects of the sun, wet your hair in the shower before hand and protect your hair with a leave-in conditioner preferably one containing a UV filter. Wash your hair thoroughly after swimming.
16. Hair grips and bands are an extremely useful item to have on holiday and offer a quick-fix solution for hair care problems.
17. Don’t forget your travel plug to ensure that you can still use your hairdryer and other electric hairstyling equipment whilst abroad.
Bon Voyage!

What You Should Know About Colon Ulcers
A colon ulcer is a sore that appears inside the lining of a person’s colon. Often people who have a colon ulcer will suffer from bleeding and infection and as a result of this inflammation the cells within the colon begin to deteriorate. Unfortunately a colon ulcer may be the first signs of a much more serious condition known as Ulcerative Colitis or Colon Cancer or even Crohn’s Disease (an inflammatory bowel disease).
So if you have at some time suffered from at least one colon ulcer and are now starting to experience unusually severe abdominal pain, constant fevers, loss of weight, loss of appetite and fatigue then it would be wise to make an appointment to see your doctor. Although these are common symptoms of a colon ulcer they could also lead to the diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis. As yet it can not be proven what actually causes this condition, but doctors have certainly found that the immune system is affected. For many people suffering from colon ulcers they can be treated with drugs which puts the condition into remission or for the more severe cases then surgery may be the best course of action.
A very small percentage of people who are diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis are at risk of developing colon cancer in the future even if pre-cancerous cell are not found that the time of them being tested for a possible colon ulcer. Also it will depend on how severe the damage is to your colon and the more severe the damage then the chances of developing colon cancer is increased. However, a doctor can carry out a colonoscopy which can determine at any time if you have any pre-cancerous cells present in your colon. So the earlier that this cancer can be diagnosed then it will make it easier for it to be treated effectively.
Now we are going to look at Crohn’s Disease which is an inflammation of the bowel and is very much like Ulcerative Colitis but can cause a lifetime of discomfort and complications to the person affected. As yet there has been no definitive evidence as to what causes this disease, but in most cases where people have been diagnosed with this disease it has been found that someone in the family also suffers from an inflammatory bowel disease as well. Yet again this form of disease can be treated with either drug therapy, surgery or them having a more restrictive diet.
So for anyone who is diagnosed with a colon ulcer it is advisable that they get a thorough examination carried out by their doctor in order to check to make sure that there aren’t any more serious conditions involved. Also by diagnosing the condition of a colon ulcer earlier on then you will find that recovery from such an ulcer will be much easier.

Fibromyalgia Pain Management
Chronic, widespread pain can often be the hardest and most frustrating challenge of living with Fibromyalgia. Typically, people with Fibromyalgia complain of “hurting all over” and because there is no known cure for Fibromyalgia, there is no way to remove the pain. Managing the pain is the only option given to sufferers with this medical condition. Support groups offer help to be sure, but if you suffer from widespread pain, you are the only person that can decide what treatments and management techniques work best for you.
People with Fibromyalgia must learn how to describe their pain to therapists, their family physician, and their families.. Keeping a journal of all activities and medications along with any noted difference before or after the activity or change in medication is very helpful when trying to pin point what works and what doesn’t. It can also be a good thing to keep a journal for a period before any doctors visit so you can have a clear picture of what has been going on.
One of the most disabling effects of widespread pain is the ongoing daily existence of fatigue. Most people who deal with Fibromyalgia must accept the fact they will wake up every morning feeling tired. For people battling FMS, (Fibromyalgia Syndrome) everyday activities are often difficult. Preparing meals, walking to the mailbox, putting on make-up all seem overwhelming and drain what energy the person has available.
Managing Widespread Pain is very complicated because in order to do it effectively, people with FMS must plan everything ahead of time. Ordinary tasks must be prioritized, often even handed over to someone else who is willing to help. In corporations, often the phrase, “work smarter, not harder,” is used as a motto. In the lives of people dealing with FMS, this is something they must realize can vastly improve their quality of life, so they must plan ahead.
Relaxation exercises, heat therapy, self-hypnosis, stretching exercises, medications, and self evaluation with the ability to develop a personal pain analysis of a person’s own pain are often recommended in controlling and being in control of the pain. In developing a plan to manage pain, the person living with the pain should speak out about the medications and other things they need to make their lives more comfortable. Read up on the medications available, and ask for specific medications by name. With all medications you take be very sure you understand all the side-effects, some can actually be quite bad as well.
Flexibility and Creativity are two important elements in managing widespread pain and living a more productive, energetic, and happy life. If you believe in your ability to manage Fibromyalgia, you will live a more enjoyable life while having full enjoyable days at your own pace.

Women And Sports – Title IX To The Rescue!
Recent research shows that inactive or sedentary women have a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, colon cancer, and depression. More research shows that by increases their exercise and improving their diets women can dramatically decrease their risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and many of the other risk factors associated inactivity. Even though the information about the health benefits of exercise for women is readily available women still report having more issues with exercising and on a whole exercise less frequently than men.
Research shows that women typically find more reasons not to exercise than men do. This is most likely due to multiple factors that influence every woman’s decision to exercise, including various social, psychological, societal, and family pressures. I’ve read it reported that female gender roles like child care and managing a family and household can get in the way of a workout or even a woman’s overall ability to view their own health as a priority. This is unfortunate as in today’s society there should not be any gender biases getting in the way of women living healthy active lifestyles. The tide however is changing and an amendment that was passed back in 1972 has a lot to do with it.
The rise in participation of women in sports is largely due to the amendment called title IX passed in 1972 that leveled the playing field for women in varsity sports. Women could not be discriminated against and institutions like universities that received federal aid were now required to provide equal funding for female and male sports. This has caused an ever increasing rise in the participation of women in sports. Women that grew up without the help of title IX may still find it more difficult to adopt a lifestyle of exercise and sport as there were social pressures and biases that did not support them. Playing sports and developing an active lifestyle early in life can get girls in the habit of regular exercise and help them keep the habit for life. They also develop social skills, interpersonal skills, improved self confidence and self worth, and a sense of belonging to something that is greater than oneself.
It is now socially acceptable for women to play any sport you can think of, and I’m not just talking about the ‘girl’ sports. I am a varsity coach of a women’s ice hockey team and these girls are every bit as good a team of athletes as any men’s team I have ever seen. Girls are now playing all of the male dominated sports and even the roughest ones with great success like Football, Rugby, Ice Hockey, and even Lacrosse. This is a great time for female athletics and the future is even brighter.

Cellulite Creams Rated As Part of Anti Cellulite Treatments
How are cellulite creams rated as part of comprehensive anti cellulite treatements? Cellulite creams are the most common means of treating cellulite other than diet and exercise. But how do they fit into the bigger picture when it comes to this problem?
Cellulite affects nearly 90% of all women as they approach their late teens. Unfortunately, it’s condition is most commonly found in women due to skin conditions and composition. This genetic fact as it relates to aging, fat storage, diet, life’s stress and exercise is all a mater of timing. The combination of any of these factors allow fat accumulation and toxic fluids to develop under the skin, weakening the epidermis. This in turn causes the fat to push up to the surface causing lumps and bumps, thus cellulite.
As for curiousity of “how are cellulite creams rated?” in the ongoing anti cellulite treatment market, it is very important to recognize that cellulite creams are not the only source of anti cellulite treatments in these stubborn areas. Many of them contain ingredients which definitely have a positive effect on cellulite. These include Retinol (a form of Vitamin A), aminophylline (related to caffeine and theophylline), ruscogenine (butcher’s broom), collagen, horse chestnut and ginkgo biloba (firming and toning agents). These work together in partnership to smooth, tone, increase circulation or improve the overall appearance and feel of the skin.
Most importantly, other factors that must be recognized to permit your cellulite cream to have the optimal luck of working for you. It is critical to do the following to fight this condition and have your anti cellulite treatments succeed:
Incorporate a fitness and exercise program that includes weight training, cellulite exercises and cardiovascular improvement for increasing metabolism, muscle developing and fat burning.
Eat a realistic and healthy diet that includes lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy fats. Eliminate the garbage processed foods, caffeine, smoking and unhealthy fats.
Drink plenty of water! (a gallon a day minimum)
Reduce the stress levels in your life and take time to breathe!
Ultimately, the next time ask yourself how are cellulite creams rated as part of the anti cellulite treatment regimen, take into consideration that cellulite creams are not primarily the answer to relieving your lump and bump problem. You can soften and improve the tone and appearance of your skin, but the creams will not result in a miracle cure to eliminate the problem areas unless you give your body a encompassing way to fix itself. Choose an inexpensive brand of cream and give yourself some time to see an overall improvement while also maintaining the rest of your cellulite regimen. General feedback has shown that cellulite creams have helped to substancially improve if not almost eliminate the cellulite problem, however there is no specific scientific proof to substantiate this.
Unfortunately, cellulite is a fact of life that women cannot avoid in their lifetime. So how are cellulite creams rated as part of anti cellulite treatments in general? Pretty good it seems. When coupled properly with the right exercise and diet in your life, they can substancially dent if not eliminate the problem (women should be so lucky!)
