Weight Loss Magic Pills Review

Weight loss magic pills. Are they real, or just marketing hype? Good question. The answer may shock you. But first a definition of “magic pills.” For the purposes of this article we will define “magic pills” as any supplement, herbal or otherwise that assists greatly in the effort to lose maximum weight. Got that? Assists greatly.

So then, are there really weight loss magic pills? In a word, yes. There are herbal supplements on the market that do produce an enhanced effect for your weight loss goals. However, they do not work alone.

They do not work, unless you work. They do not produce any marked change, unless and until, you begin a weight loss program of some kind. Be it something as simple as walking, plus a slightly restricted eating program, or a program of much greater involvement.

Such as four day a week gym trek and a full-blown personal eating revolution.

Whatever it is, it has to be something. There is something synergistic that happens when you engage in rigorous physical activity. You invite all types of chemical reactions, most of which are good. Moving your body stimulates your metabolism.

It boosts blood flow. It forces oxygen to circulate through you. It even alleviates many minor aches and pains. So it stands to reason, that these reactive occurrences would then help your diet supplement—your magic pill—do its job much better and easier, than if you took something and did…nothing.

Synergy defined, is several elements working together. Nothing in this world, good or bad, happens without something else, and in many cases several other things, happening all at once.

The so-called weight loss magic pills are then demystified, because they aren’t magic at all. They are chemical compounds that, when mixed with your own body’s working chemicals, produce a synergistic, accelerated weight loss effect.

Yes, they work. But you must agree to work right along with them.

Cosmetic Dentistry Secrets You Need to Know

April 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Cosmetic dentistry refers to when you do anything beyond the normal health of your teeth, including fixing crooked teeth and gaps, as well as changing teeth discoloration or chipped teeth. If you are thinking of having your smile worked on, here is an overview of what cosmetic dentistry and cosmetic teeth whitening can do for you.

One thing cosmetic dentistry can do for you is to whiten your teeth. This can be either done in a Chicago cosmetic dentist office, a cosmetic dentist Madison Avenue office or a Beverly Hills cosmetic dental office – virtually everywhere in the country today.

Or you can get over the counter, do it yourself teeth whitening kits that are used in your home – which type you should chose really depends upon how discolored your teeth are and how confident you can do these home treatments yourself.

Porcelain veneers is another type of cosmetic dentistry procedure. This is when a veneer is placed over the front of the teeth, to hide any cracks or chips. Dental veneers can also be used to create a whiter smile and overlay gaps.

If you have missing teeth, then dental implants may be a good option for you. Artificial roots are anchored into the jaw and then fitted with a prosthetic tooth.

For gapping teeth, dental whitening bonding can be used to apply a tooth colored composite to the teeth. Then the material can be polished and shaped to look like the rest of your teeth.

When you have a cavity to be filled, ask for the tooth colored fillings. This may be more appealing than the traditional silver fillings that are very noticeable.

An attractive and durable option to getting fillings or crowns on your teeth are porcelain inlays and overlays to repair any damaged teeth.

If your tooth is badly decayed and a filling won’t take care of the problem, then a dental crown is usually a form of cosmetic dentistry. After the decay has been removed and the tooth has been properly prepared, the crown will be fitted creating a kind of cosmetic dentures.

Dental bridges are a piece of dental equipment that are made of two crowns and a prosthetic tooth. They are used to cover the gap when teeth are missing.

To find, for instance, the right Ft Myers cosmetic dentist or a Palm Beach cosmetic dentist, make sure you do your homework in advance. They should be certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Ask to see before and after pictures of several patients they have worked on.

If you live in Colorado, then check each Colorado cosmetic dentist references and try to find someone who has done the actual procedures you are looking at having done on your teeth.

Finding an affordable cosmetic dentists’ doesn’t have to be a daunting task either. Just do your home work in advance. If you live in San Diego, then ask for referrals from your family dentist as well as friends and family members who may know of a good San Diego cosmetic dentist. Don’t go to the lowest priced dentist just because they apparently offer a better deal. Remember, you usually get what you pay for and this really applies when getting affordable cosmetic dentistry.

A good cosmetic dentist’ will be able to help you make the best and most informed decisions when it comes to your smile and your teeth. Your smile and confidence are big things to trust somebody with. So be sure your trust goes to the best cosmetic dentists you can find.

The Perseverance of Teaching Yoga, Part 1

April 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Why do talented students fall short of becoming Yoga teachers? Ever notice that “quick flashes” of brilliance disappear in a short time. Take for example, the super flexible Yoga student who can do a split in every direction, and make a pretzel, or circle, out of his, or her, body on the first Yoga class. Usually, this student will leave after the first class saying, “Is that all there is to Yoga?”

As most of us know there is so much more to Yoga than mere flexibility, but how do you make a student aware of this in his or her first Yoga class? Do you really want to try? Some Yoga teachers jump through “flaming hoops” to appease a potential student who has natural flexibility. This happens much to the dismay of dedicated and established Yoga students who have been training for years.

So what is the problem and why do we worship exceptional flexibility and physical prowess? The problem stems from the Yoga teacher who has forgotten what the prime ingredient is within the exceptional Yoga student. That ingredient is “perseverance” and that is what separates the “flash in the pan” from the Yoga student who may well evolve into a Yoga teacher. The student who shows up to Yoga class and tries to do his, or her, best should never be taken for granted.

Perseverance is a true guarantee of success for Yoga students and Yoga teachers alike. When you think about your life, perseverance has always played a major role in your past achievements. How many people will tell you that teaching Yoga is not a good career move? Plenty will, but you must have the fortitude and perseverance to pursue your own desire, in the first place.

In order to make any achievement in Yoga, you need a formula for success. Here is a list of ingredients that you must have in order to succeed at teaching Yoga or anything else in life. Firstly, you need desire and passion to become a Yoga teacher. If you don’t have it, that’s no problem, just find something that you feel passionate about. Do not waste time pursuing any goal without passion.

Secondly you must have a dream that you can visualize. If you can picture yourself teaching Yoga, and feel the joy of your journey, you are fine. However, if you cannot see yourself becoming a Yoga teacher, it just might not be your “calling.” Whatever the goals you choose to pursue in life, you will need both desire and the ability to visualize your dreams, in order to proceed to the next step.

Caverta Averts Bad Times

April 29, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Sexual frustration is the worst form of depression that can happen to men. The failure to satisfy your dream woman could crash all your hopes of spending your entire life with her. In turn, she could also land in serious depression that could ultimately prove to be a relationship-buster or even assume more serious proportions. And the problem could worsen in situations where the couple cannot afford expensive treatment of Erectile Dysfunction.

Resorting to inexpensive generic drugs can, now, treat impotence. Caverta, for instance, is generic form of Viagra. It contains Sildenafil Citrate in sufficient quantities to effectively treat ED. The poor patients of impotence have reported massive relief with the availability of cheap Caverta in the nearest pharmacy. In addition, various online pharmacies also offer Caverta online. Available at a fraction of the cost of popular branded drug, Viagra, Caverta is raking in the moolah at the rate of naughts by its sheer sales volume.

pillspills.net/product_caverta.htm Caverta is meant to treat male Erectile Dysfunction. So, obviously, this drug is not meant for consumption by women and children. If, for some reason, the misuse of the prescribed procedure of the drug takes place, immediately seek medical attention to thwart any possible ill effect of the drug. Normally, Caverta is well absorbed by the body, however, some side effects are also observed. Conditions like headache, nausea, irritability, gastric disorder, drowsiness and slight vision problems are commonly observed but these are short-term adversities and soon the body adjusts with Caverta.

Erectile Dysfunction is the condition in which the blood supply in the penile area gets reduced. This, further, leads to failure of the organ to achieve sufficient erection to satisfy the female. Caverta treats this condition by increasing the blood supply in the penile area, which facilitates sufficient erection that keeps your sexual life healthy and booming.

A Bad Combination – High Fiber and Acid Reflux

April 29, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

There is a little known bad effect of eating a high fiber diet. Most recommendation on the amount of fiber to eat is in the range of 30 to 40 gm per day. And as you age this becomes more important since high fiber diets help you remove excess cholesterol in the colon and help regulate your bowel movements. In addition, fiber helps to remove toxins from your colon and provide food for the good bacterial.

What you are not told about fiber is that fiber can bind with certain nutrients and minerals and they get tied up in your stools before they get absorbed into your blood stream. This condition can occur when your stomach acid gets weak. And the weaker it gets, higher values of pH – 3.5, 4, 5, and 6 – the more nutrients you lose to stool formation.

There are two situations where your stomach acid gets weak. First, as you age, your ability to create and release HCl acid from your stomach walls decreases. Second, at any age, if you take any type of drug to decreased your stomach acid strength in an effort to reduce acid reflux damage to your esophagus. Both these condition in combination with a high fiber diet lead to a more minerals tied up in chyme or stools.

Here’s how you lose the minerals. Phytate, a chemical found in grains, cereal and seeds, and fiber easily combine with nutrients and minerals. This complex of phytate, fiber, and minerals – calcium, manganese, iron, copper, nickel, or zinc – are easily absorbed when your stomach acid is the natural value of ph 1 – 3. As your stomach acid weakens and the pH rises to 4, 5, 6, and even 7, the complex become more insoluble and not absorbent. To make matters worse is if you have plenty of calcium and magnesium in this complex, it will tie up other mineral and make them insoluble.

There is one other condition that occurs with weaken stomach acid. Digestion of protein is decrease leaving more undigested protein to move into the colon. It is this undigested protein and constipation that can lead to colon cancer, especially if the protein has been cured with nitrites.

Here’s how to avoid becoming mineral deficient. Keep your diet high in fiber by eating raw fruits and vegetable. If you are over 50 and perhaps 60, your stomach acid has been on the decline. Taking HCl and pepsin tablets can overcome this condition. But to use these acid tablets you need to use them in a special way and that will be covered in another article.

If you have acid reflux avoid using acid neutralizers such as Tums or Rolaids. Avoid, also, taking acid blocking drugs such as Prilosec. These drugs play with your acid levels and make you more susceptible to mineral loss. There are natural remedies that can help you eliminate acid reflux and if you work with a nutritionist, he can help define a diet that will stop acid reflux safely.

Rudy Silva, Nutritionist, has just written a special report on how you can eliminate and cure your heartburn, or acid reflux, using a natural diet and natural remedies. Hair Loss: Nebraska Housewife Accidentally Discovers a Natural Secret to Hair Regrowth

April 29, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Are there natural methods that really work to stop hair loss and regrow hair? My friend Myra had given up hope- until she stumbled on a little-known “hair vitamin” that is making a dramatic difference in her hair loss and health. I asked Myra to tell her story in her own words…

____________________________

I’ve always been very healthy, but about 15 years ago I started losing my beautiful thick and natural hair. My doctors determined that I had low thyroid and gave me Synthroid. I took this drug as prescribed for 12 years, and continue it to this day.

Thyroid Drug was No Help

Despite my hopes, my hair did not grow back in all that time. In fact, it continued to get thinner and thinner, until my scalp was very visible all across the front of my head, and back almost to the crown. My doctor offered no solution. He and my beautician told me that the hair would never grow back.

Feeling Hopeless and Ashamed

At the age of 72, I had pretty much accepted the fact that I was partially bald and would remain that way for the rest of my life. I felt hopeless, and ashamed of the way I looked. About the same time I caught West Nile Virus, and nearly died. It’s the kind of illness that takes a very long time to get over. Many people who have had it experience continued bouts of fatigue or paralysis. I was a lucky one. My illness left me with only extreme fatigue and muscle weakness.

The Curious Apple Cure

One day my neighbor gave me some natural capsules containing apple nutrients in a concentrated form. I was so weak and tired much of the time, and I was willing to try anything. Taking only two capsules a day, my energy level returned to normal. The muscle weakness also vanished in a short time. I began sleeping soundly at night, and within a couple of months I felt wonderful.

Unexpected Hair Regrowth

Most astonishing of all, after about a year on the apple capsules my hair started growing back. At first, it was hard to believe. I certainly didn’t expect it. But as the months went by, it became clear that my hair really was getting thicker. Now, when I look in the mirror, I don’t see my scalp. I see my own beautiful hair again. And lately, the new growth is even starting to come in dark- my natural brunette color.

An Incredible Difference

I feel really lucky that I found something to help my pain, fatigue and recovery from illness. And I never expected to see my hair growing back. This product has made an incredible difference in my life, and I’m thrilled to share with everyone the wonderful changes that have happened to me since taking this apple supplement. I’ll never stop taking it!

The Handicap Of Stammering

April 29, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Having a stammer can have a hugely negative affect on one’s life. Stammering, which is also known as stuttering, affects around one percent of the population in the UK, with seven out of ten people who stammer being male. I was one of these such people but I have now managed to eradicate this form of speech impediment from my life once and for all. It took a long time to overcome it but in the end the rewards are there for all to see. In this article I will be writing about the ways in which the stammer affected my life.

Growing up I wanted to have a special jumper knitted which could have the answers to some of the main questions that I would regularly be asked.

“What is your name?”

“Which football team do you support?”

“Where do you live?”

“Where do you work?”

For some unknown reason I always seemed to struggle to answer these questions, it would often result in me stammering on one or more of the words. It led to becoming a kind of fear and phobia of mine. If I met a new person I would begin to worry that he/she might ask what my name is and if they did I would then become tongue tied.

The worst area of my speech was when using the telephone. I am not sure as to why this should be as I often could not look at people in the eyes when I was speaking to them face to face, this was perhaps due to my lack of overall confidence. I was so scared of talking on the telephone that I would rather drive to one of my friends houses instead of phoning them. I would rarely answer the phone at home and would instead just let somebody else answer it.

As you can see, life can be quite tough for people who stammer.

How to Get Rid of Stomach Fat

April 28, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

Jeez, I’ve lost count of the number of times that I’ve wanted to get rid of stomach fat! The stumbling block that I always had (and you probably do to) is the best way to go about getting rid it.

My urges to get rid of excess weight were never more so than when my family went on vacations, when we went to the swimming baths, and during the summer when it seems as though everyone would walk about with their shirts off and look in great shape apart from me. My confidence took a huge hit especially during these times, but I decided that something needed to be done.

What I found was that there are a number of so called “solutions” to try. Many of these seemed too good to be true and I didn’t want to use any sort of pills to lose weight. What I found after a bit of reading and searching was a great eBook that didn’t feed the lies that many other products.

Getting rid of stomach fat is a problem that many people face, although some are able to lose it easier than others. The first impression that most have when they think about losing the excess fat around the stomach is to do sit-ups. These do help but they are by no means the complete method in effectively losing the fat. A nutrition and exercise plan that has been proven to work is much more effective than solely concentrating on abdominal exercises.

The stubborn fat that surrounds the stomach isn’t burned away by doing sit-ups or other abdominal exercises such as crunches, despite what some people believe. Maximizing your hormonal and metabolic response to a proper workout and nutrition routine is what is most effective and burning the fat and getting in shape.

Of course not just any workout plan will work. There are plenty available but not all are effective, and that includes the bogus fad diets and abdominal equipment that do nothing more than thin your wallet.

Atherosclerosis – Symptoms, Causes, Prevention and Treatment

April 28, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Uncategorized

By atherosclerosis the inside of the arteries are thickened, hardened and stiffened, causing the space for blood flow to be narrowed or closed. This will decrease the oxygen supply to local or distant tissues.

The primary symptom of this is pain, poor organ function and bad general condition. The further consequences are tissue damage, sometimes acute damage because by stop of blood flow caused by a sudden blood clot formed in the narrowed areas.

THE MECHANISMS AND CAUSES OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS

The inner walls of the arteries consist of an innermost layer of endothelial cells (surface cells) and under these a layer of smooth muscle cells. The changes by atherosclerosis take place under the endothelial cells and in this muscle layer. The changes consist of: A certain degree of cell proliferation or tumour, gathering of cholesterol and fat. Deposition of calcium salts. Deposition of blood elements like fibrin.

The deposits are called atherosclerotic plaque or atheroma. Atherosclerosis is one of several types of artery thickening and hardening. A common name for thickening and hardening of arteries is “arteriosclerosis”. Often atherosclerosis is also just called arteriosclerosis.

The development of atherosclerosis probably begins by a damage in the endothelium. This damage causes cholesterol and fat to penetrate into the vessel walls and deposit there. This also induces cells to proliferate. Later also calcium salts are deposited.

Factors that cause endothelial damage and thus atherosclerosis are:

-High content of cholesterol in the blood.

-High content of blood fat and especially saturated fat.

-Inflammation in the blood vessels. A sign of such inflammation is the presence of a substance called c-reactive protein.

-High amount of oxidation agents in the blood.

-High blood pressure.

-High content of low density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood serum, and low content of high density lipoprotein (HDL) in the blood. Lipoprotein is a combination of a protein molecule and fat or cholesterol. Lipoproteins carry cholesterol or fat from place to place.

-Diabetes.

-High age.

-Smoking.

-Men have a somewhat higher chance of getting this condition than women.

-High content of the amino acid homocystein in the blood serum.

Many of these factors are ultimately caused by a bad diet and lack of daily exercise.

THE SYMPTOMS AND CONSEQUENCES OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS

Since atherosclerosis can affect all body parts, the symptoms will vary. However, general symptoms from the affected body parts are:

-Decreased performance, easy to tire out.

-Pain by physical activity, so called anoxic pain.

-By severe impairment of blood flow, tissue damage or sores can occur.

When the heart is affected, the symptoms will be:

-General bad condition.

-Anoxic pain from the heart and surroundings by physical activity, called angina pectoris.

-Feeling of not getting enough air, or breathing problems.

Atherosclerosis can cause blood clots that close the blood flow. There are several ways this can occur:

-The atherosclerotic plaque can rupture, making a sore in the inner wall of the vessel. At such a sore blood can coagulate, making a blood clot.

-The atherosclerotic plaque itself can grow to close a blood vessel.

-Blood coagulated at an affected area can tear loose, float with the blood stream to another place and prop a blood vessel at the new place.

-A portion of the plaque itself can tear itself loose and clog another blood vessel.

When the heart is stricken by a blood clot, heart tissue is suddenly destroyed, a condition called heart infarction, causing sudden heart failure or death.

When a blood clot strikes the brain, brain tissue is destroyed or impaired, causing paralysis, decreased consciousness, coma or other sudden functional impairments.

THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS

Atherosclerosis can be prevented and to some extend be cured by these measures, of which most are lifestyle adjustments:

-Eating just a little or moderate amount of fat.

-Eating just a moderate amount of sugar.

-The fat eaten should be a blending of different types of unsaturated fat from sources like: Olive oil, rape oil, sunflower oil, soy oil, walnut oil and fish. Then you will get enough of mono-unsaturated fat, omega-3-unsaturated fat, and omega-6-poly-unsaturated fat, but not too much of any of them.

-Eating much fish and just a little red meat.

-Eating a good amount of fruit and vegetables each day.

-Supply of enough vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants.

-Only consuming moderate amount of salt.

-Stop smoking.

-Getting high blood pressure treated if lifestyle measures do not bring blood pressure down.

-Daily exercise fitted for one’s own condition.

-Eliminate stress in the daily life and at the job.

-Stressing down and getting enough rest.

By high cholesterol levels that do not react properly to lifestyle measures, cholesterol lowering medication can be used, such as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors.

By serious local narrowing of an artery, surgery to clean out or widen the artery is sometimes performed. Sometimes the artery is replaced by a graft taken from another body part or by an artificial vessel. When this is done in the heart, it is denoted as bypass surgery.

Alternative treatment to clean out the arteries is an option. There is for example a treatment consisting of using the substance EDTA to carry constituents of plaque away from the arteries. The molecules of this substance have the ability to grip around other molecules, for example cholesterol molecules, and carry them away. There is however a controversy about the effectiveness of this treatment, called chelating therapy.
