How Your Body’s Systems Start to Break Down and What To Do
It continuously amazes me how many otherwise diligent, conscientious and together people can totally drop the ball when it comes to taking care of their body well.
The Disconnect
There could be other reasons for this phenomena, but I believe the main disconnect is ignorance or confusion. The second most problematic issue is motivation. In our society we are taught to put ourselves last, and people mistakenly apply this moral idea to their bodies. For whatever reason, the vast majority of people are neglecting their bodies and consequently they are experiencing body system breakdown.
You overcome ignorance when you understand how your body’s systems are being compromised. You move beyond the motivation barrier when you accept the fact that you cannot be any good to anyone if you don’t first take good care of your self – body, heart and mind. Only then can you really begin the journey to optimum health and wholeness.
The Beginning of System Breakdown
The digestive system is made to efficiently process food. It has everything it needs. The problem is we are giving it many things it doesn’t need! In fact we put so much nasty & unnecessary junk into our stomach that our digestive systems become clogged up. It is a scientific fact that most people have at least 5 lbs of toxic waste in their intestines. If you are overweight, you probably have even more. Some people have been found to have up to 60 lbs of health destroying toxic waste in their intestines. Obviously that isn’t good.
This toxic waste lines the walls of your intestines & keeps you from digesting food and getting the proper nutrition from it. Obviously this affects your overall health because the cells in every part of your body depend on this system for nutrition. Also, when your cells reproduce, they don’t have the proper ingredients to create new healthy cells. You can see how this creates a terrible domino effect on all the systems of your body. Intestinal disease is the leading cause of death in America.
Because of this pollution in our intestines we attract parasites. Yes, most people have parasites of one kind or another. There are many types, some are almost microscopic. What they do is drain your energy and create an acidic environment in your digestive system. This makes it even harder to digest because the good bacteria cannot live in this acidic environment. You need good bacteria to assist you in digestion.
Your liver is a multipurpose organ. It contributes to digestion, and helps remove toxins from your blood. It also gets clogged up, mainly by cholesterol and other types of toxic fats we ingest. This inhibits your ability to remove toxins. This problem is greatly magnified by the fact that we are getting more toxins than any generation of our ancestors did. We need our livers healthy more than ever! The liver cannot hope to keep up with the toxins we encounter in its degraded state. Of course again, this affects your overall health.
Your nutrition and waste removal systems both depend heavily on the liver and the heart and the blood. When your toxic removal system breaks down, your arteries can become clogged and your heart weakened. . . Of course this leads to heart failure which is the second highest “cause of death” in America.
Junk food is a major cause of internal pollution. That almost goes without saying. Fried food, processed food, preserved food & meats are all big contributors to breakdown of your digestive & detox systems.
To top it off, even the food we think is “good” like vegetables & fruit are now much lower in nutritional value because they are grown in depleted soil. They also contain chemical pollution from pesticides and runoff that your liver must work overtime to remove from your body.
Fortunately there is something you can do about this. Here are the most important steps to take. First cleanse your body of waste and toxins. Next begin to alter the way you treat your body by learning how to keep it clean and healthy. Finally, change your relationship to your body with awareness and appreciation.

Wart Remedy – Choose a Homemade Wart Treatment that Actually Works
How to get rid of warts and how to prepare a wart treatment that is painless yet highly effective?
One of the most vivid childhood memories I have is of my cousin Jim. I don’t remember ever seeing him without a wart, or warts. Hand wart, foot wart – he always had them and felt very bad about them.
We tend to view warts as something bad, something we need to hide. There is no reason for this, as 4 out of 10 people will experience this problem in their lifetime.
What causes warts?
Warts are caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). There are numerous kinds of warts this virus causes, ranging from vaginal warts, plantar (foot wart), hand warts to face warts… This viral infection can spread from one part of the body to other, but usually not by contact with other people.
Human Papilloma Virus easily penetrates the skin through cuts. At risk are people who walk barefoot or somehow get exposed to the virus.
How do they look like?
They look like a cauliflower, it is rough and has a pinkish/red spot that are actually capillaries that nourish that wart. If they are not treated, they spread in clusters.
Wart treatment
There are many over the counter medications able to treat warts.
One of those is a use of salycilic acid that is applied topically on the affected spot.
Cryotherapy is also used by podiatrist in plantar wart treatment. It freezes the spot with sodium nitrite that destroys the virus and allows the wart to fall off.
How to get rid of warts: Home remedies for wart removal
First off, I would like to discourage you from something I find extremely bizarre and that I have heard of many times as of a popular home remedy for wart removal: silk thread and bare hands. What do I mean?
Someone actually told me they tie a silver thread around the wart, as tight as they can. They let it swivel for a couple of days and then use a nail file to remove it. Ouch! I have not tried this, nor do I plan as it sounds awfully painful and infection friendly.
Second thing, using your fingerprints to pinch and twist the wart at its base. Once again ouch! and really, why would you expose yourself to this much pain when there are easier ways and things that could be used as wart removers?
Lets see what kind of wart remedies are available:
Tea tree oil wart treatment
Tea tree oil has a multitude of good uses, one of them certainly is in treating warts. It is an antiseptic that prevents any possible infections that might arise, and almost immediately soothes the skin and clears out the ongoing infection.
For this, you need good quality tea tree oil. Use a cotton pad to dab the spot twice a day. The warts usually disappear in a week time or so.
Duct tape wart removal
The famous duct tape remedy!
Cut a piece of duct-tape and place it on the wart. Replace it daily. What it probably does to the wart, is that it creates warm environment that soften the skin, and make it possible to remove the wart. Peel the tape gently and apply until the wart is gone.
Garlic wart treatment
Not only can garlic be used as a hair loss remedy, it is also very good as a wart cure.
It is as simple as this: peel and cut a clove in half. Rub the spot several times a day.
Banana
Rub the spot with banana peel and then use a duct tape to attach the banana peel to the spot. Leave it on overnight.
Apple vinegar
Dip cotton ball in vinegar and attach it to the spot with tape or bandaid. Leave on overnight and you should notice the wart disappear in a week or so.
This could be also done with alcohol or lime juice, they work the same way.

Integrating Core Stabilization into Your Workouts
Stabilization is a hot topic in the fitness industry over the past few years. But what is stabilization? Stabilization can be defined as the body’s muscular systems ability to support (stabilize) the body during movement.
For most fitness enthusiasts, core training is a foreign topic. Exercises designed to build strength in the chest, back, shoulders, legs and arms are typically chosen over exercises designed to improve the strength of the core. The “core” is defined as the muscles surrounding the cervical (neck), thoracic (chest), lumbar (low back), pelvic, and hip area. The core is the foundation for all movement patterns to occur. A strong efficient core is necessary for proper movement to occur. Allowing other muscles to become strong before the core can lead to injury at some point in your body. For example, most people have tight hip flexors, quadriceps, and psoas. When these muscles are tight they cause the stabilizing muscles of the core (transverse abdominals, multifidi, and glutes) to become lengthened and therefore weak. When muscles become weak, they cannot work efficiently and the tight muscles take over their function.
Picking an object up off the floor is a great example of how your core “braces” the body to prepare for the lift. As you lift the object off the floor, your core stabilizes the body and allows efficient movement to occur to transmit force through the lumbar spine and out through the body. If your core is not strong enough and proper postural positioning is off, the body cannot properly handle the weight of the object and injury can occur. For example, if the back is rounded through the shoulders as you pick up a box of books, the center of gravity shifted forward and away from the body putting enormous strain the lumbar discs. Repeated stress on the lumbar disc will lead to a serious back injury at some point.
Mastering of basic exercises designed to recruit the deep abdominal stabilizers is a must for proper progression to occur. The first level is to begin to re-teach the muscles deep in the abdominal wall to fire properly. Teaching a client to “brace” their abdominal wall is the key to building proper stabilizing within the lumbo-pelvic hip region. These exercises are done on a stable environment (floor). Exercises in the first level typically are held for a period of time to allow the deep stabilizing muscles to improve their functional capacity.
Once the basic concept of abdominal bracing is mastered after a couple of days, the next level can be obtained through challenging the stabilizing muscles through movement of the spine or the arms and legs in a semi-stable environment. Stability balls are commonly used and are a great way to build core stability. Other ways to increase the intensity is to raise a limb off the ground to force the body to hold a posturally correct position with good core stabilization.
As core stabilization improves challenging the body becomes a function of being creative and safe. Try a multi-joint exercise in different directions to create better core stabilization. For example, lunge to the front, back, and to the sides combined with an overhead press requires a great deal of core stabilization.
Building a strong core is more than just endless crunches and leg raises. Fitness professionals have the knowledge to help you build a strong core effectively and safely. By being creative, you can build a strong core in no time, just in time for spring break.

Faucet Water Purifier-Improve Your Health With The Aid Of The Right Purifier System
Believe it or not, a faucet water purifier is easier to install than you think. In fact, often times you can get them set up without using any tools whatsoever.
In order to maker user that your home contains good safe, chemical free drinking water, a faucet water purifier is the way to go. These machines are less expensive than cartridge filtration systems, and yet still work very well at eliminating the harmful chemicals from your water supply.
The only installation step you must take is to unscrew your aerator on your sink and hook up the filter. Usually, it will simply screw on.
Many people don’t want to use a faucet water purifier because it tends to lower the water pressure, forcing you to wait longer when getting a drink or washing your hands. While in fact they often do lessen the water pressure, this is a minor inconvenience to pay to achieve optimum health.
Nowadays, it is more necessary than ever to have a faucet water purifier in your home. It is crucial that your drinking water be safe and chemical free before drinking.
The reason for this is that there are currently over 140 harmful chemicals in most US cities water supplies that the EPA has unaccounted for. Also, there are no plans in the near future to eliminate these.
Now, there are many different methods of filtration, too many to go into here. However, some of the more popular methods include reverse osmosis, ionization, carbon absorption, ultraviolet radiation, etc.
All of these methods are generally effective at removing the chemicals, although some more so than others. In order to find the right one, you will need to do your research and decide for yourself which is best.
How do you go about doing your research? The best place to start, of course, is with friends or family who already own and are currently using a water purifier for their home. Generally speaking, these people will be health conscious and have already done their research before making their purchase.
This will save you a big step in the process. There is a lot of information out there about what the best faucet water purifier is, and finding someone who already has cut through the clutter and found the best filter is obviously better than having to do so yourself.
If, however, you don’t know of someone who owns a faucet water purifier, do research on the internet. There has never been a better time to be alive than the modern day, because any information you need about nearly every subject is available at the click of a button. Be careful which sites you look at, however.
Many sites that appeared to be unbiased in their reviews are actually simply promoting a particular companies’ product. Therefore, be very leery of who you get your information from.
When it comes time to make your purchase, also check online before going to your local retail stores. Often times you can find better deals on the internet than you’d ever find offline.
The bottom line: you need to do your due diligence, and find the best faucet water purifier system for your home. It is a minor investment, but your health is well worth the money.

Does Your Stutter Ruin Your Life?
Do you have a problem with stammering or stuttering? Does your stutter totally frustrate you? Are you determined to one day beat this horrible speech impediment and to achieve fluency? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, I am aware of how you are feeling. I suffered with quite a severe stutter from the age of four and for the next eighteen years it attempted to and did control my life. It affected every major and even minor decision I made.
I always wanted to be the same as everybody else. Normal is not really the right word to use but normal is what I wanted to be. Why was I the only one in the class who was unable to read out fluently from a book? Why did I have problems in pronouncing certain words beginning with certain letters? This did not seem fair to me as I was growing up and the stutter led to me having a lack of confidence and a low self-esteem.
I thought that if I was to be a good human being that I might be rewarded with fluency. I started to believe in God and would talk to what I refer to as him on a regular basis, at least five times a day. It would not be in the form of the lords prayer but just like a chat.
The years rolled on and despite attending the various forms of stuttering therapy that were on offer, I continued to stammer and stutter. I started to doubt whether this God actually existed. I have to admit that at one point I actually threatened God during one of our chats. It was along the lines of, if you do not start helping me by enabling me to speak fluently then I will have to stop talking to you. This was probably not the best thing to do!
I now believe that the message from God was that he will reward me with fluency only when I deserve it, for example after I have worked very hard to beat the stuttering problem. I then decided to attempt to eradicate the stammer/stutter once and for all and after a lot of hard work was successful at doing so.

Bed Hygiene- Mattress and Bed Health Matters!
Why is it that young children are so resilient with health and as we get older we are less so? Perhaps it is because our bodies are no longer building, (that hard work is behind us) and as we age, we actually must work harder to maintain our physical health. With that comes the aches and pains of overexertion, which when you were a fit 20 year old the exertion was nothing. The fact is if you’re not 20, but say 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 or more, you’ve experienced the humility of the wear and tear your body has been through, because face it, gravity is a strong force and you’re out there living your life. However, as many people look for ways to keep healthy (eat unprocessed whole foods, exercise regularly, sleep 8 hours, reduce stress) have you considered your comfort during the most restorative hours of your 24 hour day: the hours that you are in bed sleeping?
Because we spend about 1/3 of our lives in a horizontal position, restoring our health and energy so that we can be energized for the following day, it makes most sense that our bed surface including pillows, sheets and comforter is suited to our comfort. Sleeping begins with your bed surface or mattress, (most of us don’t spend the night in the barn sleeping on hay anymore!)
Mattress Matters
Mattress types should be reviewed before purchase; choices include: memory foam, latex, coil spring, and air. Each one has its’ merits, however, the most popular mattress type is still the coil or innerspring mattress. Brand leaders for innerspring include: Sealy, Serta, Simmons and Spring Air. For Memory foam Brand leader is Temperpedic and for Air Mattresses the Brand leader is Select Comfort. Mattress prices range from $500 to $5000.
Bed Frame Matters
Do you want an adjustable bed frame? Here is an opportunity to sleep in many different positions, different than a typical flat bed surface. People with health issues like arthritis, GERD, and mobility issues often find that a moveable frame provides more comfortable sleep positions: hopefully leading to a restorative and restful sleep. While many people take sleep for granted, others have physical pains or disabilities that make sleep more problematic. (Don’t skimp on the bed!) Also, there are folks that suffer from insomnia; again, (Don’t skimp on your bed or frame. It should be comfortable for you.)
Investing in Yourself
We all want to keep ourselves healthy, but just like everything how much are we willing to do, or spend, to do so. Well consider that your health is priceless. When you don’t feel well or if something hurts aren’t you willing to spend or do whatever it takes to feel better? Sleep and relaxation are essential to all of us. Keep that in mind, when you lay down tonight on your bed. Ask yourself: Is this mattress providing support and comfort, does the bedding feel good? If your answer is yes, you are probably not reading this article. If your answer is no, or kind of, you should consider upgrading your sleep surface and bedding!

More Benefits of Yoga
One of the most exciting benefits of yoga is weight loss. Yes! Even such gentle exercise can help you lose weight. It helps in both direct and indirect ways. First, indirectly, your overall health and state of mind will improve; you will be inclined to eat better, healthier food regularly. And, you will have more energy for other activities – like walking or sports that will help you burn calories fast. Now let’s take a look at other ways yoga will help you reach your goal weight.
Many of the yoga positions directly stimulate one of the glands that control your metabolism: the thyroid. The thyroid is part of the endocrine system and is responsible for the chemical process that changes what you eat into energy. It will encourage a sluggish thyroid to produce more hormones and speed up your metabolism. Fat metabolism will increase – that means the fat in your body will slowly be converted to muscle – your muscle tone will improve!
The deep breathing exercises of yoga increase the levels of oxygen in your body – this is also a key factor in weight loss. As your oxygen intake increases, all the cells in your body, including fat cells, will have an increased level of oxygen. This will cause oxidation in the fat cells – they will burn up. You can use the yoga techniques of continuous, deep breathing all day – at work, watching TV – and you will be gradually burning calories.
Yoga reduces anxiety. This is very important for people who tend to snack when they are stressed and for people who are prone to bingeing on comfort food when things go wrong. The practice of yoga will give you a sense of equilibrium that will make you less dependent on snacks and comfort food – this is an effect you will notice almost immediately after starting a yoga program. You will also find that your attitude towards meals is more calm and relaxed – you will eat more slowly and appreciate the food more, leaving you less likely to rush through and over eat before you realise you are even full.
Also, yoga can be used as a snack replacement. When you feel tempted to dive into the freezer for ice cream to get a lift or solace, try turning to yoga instead. Take a deep breath, relax your mind and try a gentle warm-up position, or perhaps something new you learnt recently. Yoga will give you a healthier ‘lift’ and no regrets.
The results might not be overnight. Yoga is nothing like a crash-diet. Instead, it is a holistic approach to your whole lifestyle; your physical and your emotional well-being will improve together – gradually. As you adjust your lifestyle to include healthier eating and more activity, you will notice other benefits too, such as improved concentration and more restful sleep. Yoga will help rebalance your whole body and life so that you weight will naturally adjust to the ideal for your body – and it will stay that way long term without the need to resort to crash diets or intensive exercise programs.

Insider Secrets to the Business of Teaching Yoga, Part 4
The authors, previously mentioned, have more than one motivational audio book out on the market – and this is only the “tip of the iceberg.” Some of their stories will entertain you and give you insight to success. Every Yoga teacher, who succeeds, learns from past failures. It’s less painful to learn from other Yoga instructor’s failures and much less expensive, too.
If you brainstorm with successful Yoga teachers, or people in general, you will find many of them read or listen to inspirational material. They don’t participate in, or listen to, much negative talk, and you can’t afford to either.
As a Yoga teacher, you have to be positive when teaching every Yoga class. Your students will feel negative energy from you, and it is hard for any Yoga teacher to help others if he or she is “feeling down in the dumps.”
Some negative thinkers will tell you to resign yourself to teach Yoga as a hobby. This is what each Yoga teacher should do if he or she doesn’t believe in success. Forget about your dreams, and believe in doom and gloom. You learn worthless concepts like:
“That will never work.”
“You have to be born with money.”
“Life sucks and then you die.”
Enough already! Stay away from these people, who want to shatter your dreams, of being a successful Yoga teacher, and believe in yourself. If you need more audio book or e-Book recommendations; send me an Email. When you develop a positive outlook, you will find yourself surrounded by positive people.
When each of us chooses to study Yoga, and then to teach Yoga; we learn about the many positive components of Yoga. Go back to the basics and cultivate prana. Practice positive meditation and positively visualize your future every day.
Eat a sattvic diet or eat as close as you can to sattvic. In truth, all Yoga teachers must “walk the talk.” When we decide to become a Yoga teacher, we are supposed to be examples of good mental, physical, and spiritual health.
This does not mean we have to have perfect bodies, but all Yoga teachers should be in the best health possible. Otherwise, what kind of a message are we sending to the public at large? Being a good example of health is part of the job description if you decide to teach Yoga.

How to Reverse and Prevent Heart Disease – The Easy Way
When you read or hear stories of someone having a heart attack, what are your thoughts?
Do you feel for the sufferer? Do you learn from it? Or do you care less? And think that it could not happen to you?
If this is your response, then do consider that heart attack patients once though the same way too.
Everyone has the risk of experiencing cardiovascular diseases and heart ailments.
Cardiovascular diseases is the common name that referred to several conditions involving the heart and the blood channel.
Any ailment that causes the heart or the blood channel to fail to function well is called cardiovascular diseases.
The coronary heart disease happens when the channel that provide blood to the heart and the brain (the artery) is choked or damaged.
If the blood channel gets choked, the blood circulation to the heart and the brain reduces or completely stop.
This might cause various cardiovascular problems like heart attack, brain damage, chest pain and heart failure. The heart is a small organ, only weighing 0.25 kilogram and beats 72 times a minute.
Try clenching both fists and place in the middle of the chest. This is the size of your heart compared to the size of the body. If we are to lay them out, the blood channel will be 27,000 kilometers long. Do you think that the small heart is able to pump 5.6 liters of blood, three times a minute for that distance?
If you are thin, this task could be possibly carried out easily but for those who are obese, the heart is always forced to bear the difficult burden and work hard to so that blood can be pumped to every area of the body that requires blood.
Now count your heartbeat per minute. If your heartbeat far exceeds the normal count of 72 beats a minute at rest, it’s a sign that you must do something to confirm that your heart is functioning well.
It seems everyone knows, that heart disease is one of the deadly diseases in most countries. Almost 8 percent hospital fatalities are caused cardiovascular diseases.
One might be more inclined to suffer from cardiovascular disease compared to another. The risk factor of heart disease can be divided into two; factors that cannot be reversed and factors that can be prevented.
The factor that cannot be reversed is sex and age. Male, aged above 45 years or female aged above 55 years with a family history of heart diseases. For example, if heart attack occurs at a young age, whether it happens to the father or brother below 55 years old and the mother or sister below 65 years old.
Most cases of heart attack stems from an unhealthy lifestyle which include smoking, lack of physical activities (exercise), diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure though it can be prevented.
Coronary heart disease usually takes a long time to form and it involves the following factors such as:-
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Improper diet
- Lack of exercise
- Obesity
- Smoking
- Diabetes
The increase in heart disease fatalities has prompted many health organisations to adopt advice on how to reverse and prevent heart disease.
Most people do not think that they are at risk of heart diseases. Even if they know the facts, most choose not to seek advice or medical treatment. Thus the need to know how to reverse and prevent heart disease becomes more apparent.
Everyday, many people have their lifestyles ‘paralyzed’ by heart diseases even if it can be prevented. The easiest way on how to reverse and prevent heart disease is by reducing weight by way of a healthy diet and consistent exercise.
These two methods not only reduce weight but at the same time increase one’s energy level and have a healthier heart. This message needs to be spread throughout.
It’s never too late to learn how to reverse and prevent heart disease. Age does not matter but do seek a doctor’s advice before starting on an exercise regime if you are:-
- Male above 35 years of age
- Female above 40 years of age
- If you experience a problem of excessive weight; more than 7kg above normal
- If you have doubts over your health condition
- Have a history of medication or undergoing treatment and medication
- Have not exercised or only exercise occasionally
With that, it has been said that remedies from nature are much safer and more effective than prescription drugs and needless surgery as well.
