The DASH diet contains a lot of carbohydrates. You eat muesli for breakfast, whole grain bread for lunch and pasta for dinner. This is combined with fish, chicken and nuts and olive oil
The other two diets tested are a protein rich and a carbohydrate rich variation of the DASH diet, but with no olive oil.
All three diets did lower blood pressure and cholesterol significantly but the diet that contained the olive oil stood out as the most effective. It lowered blood pressure and cholesterol just a bit more. And these factors are an important determinant of the long-term onset of cardiovascular disease.
All participants in the research reported that it was fairly easy to comply with each of these diets. But the participants in the protein rich variety complained more often about digestive problems and as a result of that they tended to be less physically active then the control group.
So this is an outcome that supports the Mediterranean Diets with their high Fish (Omega 3 fatty acids) and Olive Oil content even more.

During the Second World War, the Germans used fluoride as a tranquilizer in the Russian prison camps. At the same time, American members of the Communist Party met to discuss adding fluoride into the water supply, in order to bring about overall lethargy and thus ease the introduction and eventual dominance of Communism in America.
Over time, the cumulative effect of drinking water laced with sodium fluoride is a slow poisoning of a certain portion of the brain. This causes a submission of the will, so that the person loses the power to resist domination, and makes him completely vulnerable to whoever wishes to govern him. The terminology used in describing this process is “narcotising” the brain.
Fluoridated water was first introduced in 1954, and more than 50 years later about 200,000 tons a year are poured into the drinking water of tens of millions of blissfully unaware people, in thousands of cities across America. Fortunately, hundreds of cities are refusing to allow their citizenry to be poisoned, but the average consumer does not even realize that there is a problem.
Besides the mind-numbing effects, fluoride has also been shown to cause cancer. 1. You don’t want to hear it, it sounds flat-out cheesy, and you don’t believe it has any effect whatsoever, but set some goals! Make your goals different time periods (how much weight in X time) and make them for different sizes of clothing or poundage. 10. Celebrate every victory, this could be (and likely will be) a long march that needs small victories along the way. Don’t celebrate with good foods that will set you back, but rather with a good CD, DVD, book, or going to the movies. Positive reinforcement works, even if it is from you to you!
